Multifunctional Sophistication
The art lies in thinking about what the wearer needs. From the very beginning, Maison Köchert has placed great importance on the versatility of jewelry. After all, how often does a woman of the world truly need to wear a regal tiara or an eight-row diamond necklace? Jewelry always has been meant to be worn so that it – and of course its wearer – can shine; not just on special occasions, but also in everyday life. Our archives are filled with examples of tiaras that could be immediately transformed – whether with or without the help of a master goldsmilth – into brooches, rings, earrings, hairpins or necklaces.

Sophisticated and cleverly designed, many pieces were numbered on the back side, allowing them to be rearranged in a do-it-yourself preference – and then, when desired, fit back to their original order.
We’ve remained true to the tradition of multifunctionality to this day, thanks to the pure dedication of our craftsmen and artists. This can be seen, for example, in our X-Changeables earring collection. A stud or clip earring can be paired with a variety of interchangeable pendants. For a summer party? Something playful. For the office? Something subtle. For a date? Something eye-catching.

Our master craftsmen have also created the wrap necklace, which can be worn as a bracelet as well; and the Marguerite ring that can double as a brooch. The quintessential example is the Sisi Collection, whose large captivating stars can be worn as pendants, stud earrings or hairpins. Of course, there is also a Sisi tiara with removable and equally convertible stars.

Each piece of jewelry is a work of unparalleled craftsmanship, which has defined Maison Köchert throughout its entire history – just as it defines us today.
